About Me
Hello!
My name is Ana, I am Portuguese (for those that don't know where
Portugal is, here is a small geographic description. It is in Europe,
between the Atlantic Ocean and Spain. No, it is not a Spanish
region. It is an independent country, full of history and beauty.) I am
living in the UK for the past 3 years.
I was raised as a Catholic, even studied in a Catholic school for 9
years. But I lost my faith when I was 12yrs old, when a succession of
events (which I saw as unfair punishment) made me question my religion
and faith.
I must admit I was quite lost in my teen years, as I needed a superior force to guide me, and I had none.
I first had contact with Buddhism by a book that my parents had at
home, I read it and was immediately drawn to it, I felt the urge to
learn more and experiment what was written in the Dharma. I started to
feel peace inside of me and acceptance for good and bad things.
I love to help people and still haven't lost my hope on going on a
charitable mission to a foreign country. One of my dreams is to be part
of Sangha.
