About Me
Greetings to All Animal Lovers,
We are Allen and Linda Anderson -- pet-experts, keynote speakers, lifestyle marketing consultants, and best-selling authors. In 1996, at a mid-point in our lives, we were looking for ways to bring more love into the world. One day, while walking around Lake Harriett in Minneapolis with our dog Taylor, we were feeling happy about all the people who stopped us to ask, "Do you know your dog is smiling?"
This started us thinking about the spiritual qualities animals have -- joy, unconditional love, creativity, gratitude, compassion, etc., etc. We decided to send out a call on the Internet and through posters around town with the questions: Are you learning spiritual lessons from animals? Is your relationships with an animal helping you become a better human being? Withing 60 days we had hundreds of stories from around the world. People were waiting for someone to ask these questions.
We founded the Angel Animals Network to help people discover and benefit from the miraculous powers of animals. We are dedicated to bettering the lives of human-animal families. We donate a portion of proceeds from our work to animal rescue organizations and do fundraising activities. We rescued our dog and cats -- or is it the other way around?
We believe that connecting spiritually with animals opens new doors and possibilities. Through our popular series of books published by New World Library, the “Angel Animals Story of the Week e-zine, speaking presentations, insights, and websites, we offer portals into an ancient world where animals are guides, healers, and friends. Our work has been featured on national television and radio programs, in national wire service articles, Canadian and British newspapers, and BBC radio. Several of our books are translated into foreign languages, and all the books are sold internationally.
Our books have been recommended on NBC’s The Today Show and ABC’s Nightly News with Peter Jennings and listed in Amazon.com’s “Hot 100” and Barnes & Noble’s “Top 10, What America Is Reading.” Our book, Angel Dogs, was featured on The Montel Show. We are contributing authors to Beliefnet.com with our Guided Journal and Angel Pets Fan Club. You can also find several excerpted stories from our book on Beliefnet.com.
In 2004, we were recipients of a Certificate of Commendation from Governor Tim Pawlenty in recognition of our contributions as authors enhancing the economy and welfare of the state of Minnesota. In 2007, we received the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) Outstanding Book Award for Rescued: Saving Animals from Disaster and the USA Best Book’s national book award. Allen was profiled in Jackie Waldman’s book, The Courage to Give, a book featured on Oprah. We both teach writing at the Loft Literary Center, in Minneapolis, where Linda won the Outstanding Loft Teachers Award.

Dear mrs. and Mr. Anderson, I am delighted to see your video about Pet Angels, they all are. I am new to Belief Net,recently retired,working from home and with plans to write; even if little by little, I know I have at least one good book or many short stories in me.
