Hi Fellow Members:  I am struggling to fight bipolar/manic depression and addiction.  Have had this since early childhood and am now 44.  It was "taboo" in my family to seek help.  They would be too embarrased to have a daughter in therapy, even though I told them "I NEED HELP"!  Now, I am a hopeful, recovering alcoholic as well as dealing with my other "imagined problems".  I still drink now and then, even though I have severe cirrosis.  Dying seems like a slow process for me, which I welcome instead of the "PAIN".  I am so desperately trying to deal with these, and other problems.... etc.  I'm okay today, have plans to help someone else.  That alone in itself gets me out of my own head and is the best "therapy" anyone could ask for.  I do miss my therapist though (we recently moved).  Have plans to get a new one and better this life I've been given. Anyone in my shoes, please contact me.  Maybe we can help one another.
