About Me
I have been taking care of my mother who has Alzheimer's for almost 4 years now. We moved her here to Montana from Arkansas to live with us and I've never attended any support groups. I am hoping to meet others who are in similar situations, develop friendships and support, and hopefully hear some good advice and tips to help my mom day-to-day.
A little about me: I am a medical secretary and do transcription at home. My passion and my peace was always found in the mountains and hiking, but that's fallen by the wayside due to guilt over leaving my mother at home alone. I also love Shelties and just got an eight week old Sheltie puppy two days ago. I also used to love to read a lot. I have three grown sons (I am 53) and a 7 year old granddaughter. I love photography, nature and mountains, and love it when a chance arises to go. My other passion is music, especially the Moody Blues. I love to get a chance to get away to see them perform whenever I can.
And last but not least, I do believe in God and that is my ultimate peace. I question "why?" a lot, as I'm sure many caregivers do. But I have faith.
