About Me
I have visted the beliefnet site for years on occation, but only for reference....to read and view videos and meditations. I decided to try out this online community as a part of a New Years resolution and a way to constructively pass time until Spring and Summer.
I am hoping to meet people who I can listen and chat with about my beliefs and experiences in terms of spritiuality and faith. After a couple of years of intense grief, I am feeling better and in the New Year would like some support and inspiration to become more open to change and growth. I know that the best, and maybe only way to do that is by supporting and listening to others.
My mother taught me early on that having a good hobby can be a mental lifesaver so I've had many. So, besides being quite busy with work and family, my current new hobbies are train collecting (I have a small outdoor G scale on the porch) and I've recently started doing some geneology work on my Irish Immigrant ancestors. The German side is of course so organized that it's been done for years.
Thank you in advance for the welcomes that I'm sure are forthcoming as I explore various groups etc. here.
