About Me
I am a fairly laid-back, liberal, traditional Presbyterian, though my leanings are strongly toward interfaith work. (I'm currently on the board of the San Francisco Interfaith Council.)
I live, happily and gratefully, in San Francisco with my Final Husband. A freelance writer (newspapers, magazines, books) with a literary home on Red Room, I work with and write often on end-of-life issues: Compassion & Choices, Bay Area Network for End-of-Life Care and others. I was honored and proud to write an article for Beliefnet's start-up issue, and a few since then (now archived), and am also proud of a 1999 book, Dying Unafraid, still in print. Leading workshops on advance directives & related issues is a special joy. Other writings happen whenever I snatch a moment, including short stories (some published, some languishing) since getting my MFA 45 years post-college.
My three grown children, one an artist with a website, live in Manhattan, N.C. and Atlanta with my five flawless grandchildren.
You're cordially invited to my general blog.
