I am the head of my family of four generations.  I am a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  I am a very spiritual person who believes in prayer and that good will overcome the evil in our world.  I have many interests other than family.  I love to wrtie-mostly poetry.  I also love video games and playing games on my laptop.  I love to listen to all kinds of music.  I am also a voracious reader.  I sometimes will finish a book in a day.  I like to cook sometimes, and my family really likes for me to cook for them.  I have suffered two great losses over the last 15 months-first my beloved older sister, then a few short months later, my mother.  Through the power of prayer and the support of loving, caring friends I have survived. 

I am interested in people and love to meet new people.  They don't have to necessarily have the same interests that I do, just want someone to talk to and share their feelings with. I am a member of MyLot.com, a paid discussion site, Associated Content, Helium.com, and Gather.com.  These are all venues in which I get the opportunity to ply my craft and hone my writing skills.  I am looking forward to making friends here who are in need of a friend just as I am.
