I am a psychologist and professor in the Executive MBA Program at University of Maryland, University College, who teaches that ethical and spiritual principles are the foundations of effective leadership and relationships in work, family and life in general. My personal ethics and spirituality are grounded in an active discipleship in Christianity.
For the past four years, I've been a member of Treasures of the Heart Ministries, a gospel group with which I performs as a poet, flutist, and songwriter. I initiated and coordinated a contemporary worship service while at United Church of Christ of Seneca Valley in Maryland for three years. Prior to that, I was treasurer and deacon and band member at Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Maryland. I have written two books, over two hundred poems, and more than fifty songs.
Currently, in my artistic work, I create videos including spoken, written words, instrumental music and images on topics about spirituality, relationships, and community. This group's focus on media and culture seems to be a good fit.
