About Me
I am a poet, author, teacher and now, I work with people's dreams. My latest book, The History of Last Night's Dream, from Harper One, tells the story of how I met an extraordinary dream teacher in Vermont, Marc Bregman, and how I had to unlearn the old ways of interpreting dreams in order to rediscover their power to change our lives.
Some may know me best as the author of The Jew in the Lotus, a best-selling book now in a new "PLUS" editoin. It's the book that put the term JUBU into our language, and it tells the amazing story of a dialogue between a group of rabbis and His Holines the Dalai Lama.
I have also published five books of poetry. There's more information about me at my website, http://kamenetz.com
I am a professor of English and also of Religious Studies at Louisiana State University. I live with my wife in New Orleans. When I'm not writing, teaching and dreaming, I love to ride my bike, take long walks and enjoy the incredible music and food of New Orleans.
