About Me
Hello Everybody,
My name's Tom and I like cookies, sometimes to much. I guess I'm supposed to tell you a bit about me, so here it goes. I'm an artist and a spiritualist, my wife Angela and I share many beliefs together and hopefully our son Azriel will be as open minded as we are when he grows up. I guess if we raise him right that shouldn't be a problem, huh?
I'm also a college student in my fourth year. I'm currently studying 3D art and animation. I am an ordained minister and a dedicated family man. I believe that there are five things in this world that are three keys to a happy life, Spirituality, Health and Knowledge. Once a person is secure in there mind, body, and spirit, everything else falls into place. These three things will give you the power and confidence to maintain a happy and stable home life, succeed in your career and feel great. Maintaining this standard is harder than I could've ever imagined, but it's definitely worth it. Currently I am getting my affairs in order and my family is being affected for the better. I meditate, exercise, and worship daily, I'm constantly studying new things and always practicing my craft. Drive and determination, I've found play an important role in maintaining a happy life as well. Recently I discovered that there was more to this site than receiving horoscopes on yahoo mail and decided that it was better than myspace. Heh... I hope to meet a lot of interesting and like minded people on beliefnet. Hopefully I'll make some new friends and maybe get to know the community better.
My Basics
Gender: Male
Occupation: Artist
Relationship Status: Married
Faiths:
Spiritual but not religious
Faith Description: I'm not really part of any denomination, sect, affiliation or group. If I had to take on a title it would come closer to Paganism than anything else, but thats beside the point. A lot of people have said to me that anyone who says they're a Spiritualist is too damn lazy to choose a religion that suits them, I obviously disagree.
My personal beliefs have much in common with many spiritual paths. Just as the paths have ties to one another. I refer to spiritual paths rather than religion due the my feeling that religion implies a structured government. I feel that spirituality cannot be structured into rules, regulations and sets of guidelines. Spirituality is part of who we are and no two people will perfectly agree on the meaning every guideline. Every path contains truths between
