About Me
My Spiritual journey is still continuing as I continue to grow as a person. I started out baptised as an Episcopalian, read some of the Bible and that sent me on a non-Christian quest to find the truth. I guess what I was looking for was something that was cut, dried and 100% correct. That took me to Sunni Islam to which I converted and practiced for many years. The problem with that was, nothing is perfect and 100% correct. The Judgemental-ism, self-righteousness and intolerance of many of my fellow Muslims made question the spiritual wholeness and divine connection that they professed. I think that many Muslims are very good, nice people but tend to lack a true investment in other peoples' success. In other words, far too many rejoiced in another's failure. That was a huge turn-off.
Now, I tend toward Sufism which values individual experience more and that means you do not have to conform. God created us with variety and with love and we need to accept how God created each person.
Also, you can find knowledge and wisdom from just about anywhere if you pay attention. There are so many questions to which there has not been a satisfactory answer - at least to me.
You friend, are welcome to accompany me with my spiritual quest. Leave your need for being 'right' at the door. Nobody can always be right but I'd like to know the 'why' you think or believe the way you do.
