Hello .. I'm Robby and I would like to tell you a story of mine . . . . . I was born in 1957 and my parents were truly from the past generation .. my mom was born in 1912 and my dadwas born in 1902 (55 years old when I was born) .. I've had a fun and safe life and am now 51 years old with my wonderful wife Linda and my 3 sons: Miles, Casey and Riley (15-18 & 20) .. I've worked for Hawker/Beechcraft as a Technical art illustrator for 28 years

I'll never forget when I was about 6 years old .. my dad was a grocery store owner (Cleary's Market ~ 4840 N Arkansas ~ Wichita KS) when a man walked into our store and told my dad that he and his family had a small traveling child-evangelical ministry and would he allow them to set up a small theater and chairs in the back parking lot of his store inorder to gather children from the neighborhood and perform a "puppet show and Christian story for the kids" . . . my dad said: "go-for-it" and then the man bought about 10 to 12 candy bars to hand out . . . well, I was first in line to get my FREE ticket to the show .. I'll never forget the man's wife, son and I think a couple of daughters put on a puppet show .. no, it wasn't the most spectacular event that I have ever seen .. but what I do remember is this: a feeling and a sense that what I now believe to have been God's love and his spirit and truth delivered in a way that only a child could understand .. It was the first time in my life that I had ever heard the message: "Jesus loves me this I know .. for the bible tells me so" . . . . well, 3 or 4 neighborhood kids and I were told that God loved us and that he had a wonderful plan for our lives .. we all got a candy bar and were thanked for attending the show . . . as the man and his family packed up their musical instruments, their cardboard box theater, some rag doll puppets and chairs and drove away with their trailer in tow .. they probably wondered .. had they done any good or had any impact in the lives of those kids ?? . . . . . . . well .. I'm here to tell you all that they did . . . . . and maybe it was a long time (20 years) before anything was ever really realized .. but all I know is this: when the day comes for me to meet my Lord of Glory, the God of this universe and then my family of old and a few dear friends . . . I am going to find that man and his family and thank them for planting that small seed in my heart that I look back on to this very day and attribute ( a part of it ) to the salvation that I now enjoy . . . . I'm sure that many of you might have a similar story .. this one is mine .. we have a big wonderful God who does mighty things through even the smallest of lifes encounters and I will praise him forever and ever . . . . .
