As a certified Spiritual Life Coach, with a thoroughly ecumenical practice, it is my sincere hope to meet people of all faiths, denominations and faith traditions for discussion, support and friendship.  Good theology begs more questions than it gives answers and I love a good, rowsing discussion on a "hot" theological topic.  I also look for support from others as I progress along my spiritual journey, which is often a slippery slope and constantly changing shape.  I'm a bit of a loner (which I'm totally okay with), but also recognize the need for fellowship with others of all spiritualities.  I'm a "Seeker" and have been since childhood.  I'm a big fan of John Shelby Spong's and have read most of what he's published.  Would love to engage others in some conversations around his books and viewpoints.  I have a M.A. in Systematic & Historical Theology and a second M.A. in Pastoral Ministry, both received from The Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA.  My undergraduate major was German (with a minor in English), so I also love language.  I love the Hebrew Scriptures and Christian Testament and find that a topic of constant interest.  I live quietly in the mountains of southern Oregon, following 8 years in NYC, 8 in San Fran, and 6 in Sacramento.  I'm also engaged in the pursuit of several of the Sacred Mysteries (e.g., the Tarot and Western Astrology) and use them where appropriate in my coaching practice.  I just recently bought The Tarot of the Saints, as well as the Master Tarot, which is based on Jesus' life and teachings and am anxiously, but slowly learning to work with these two new friends.  Interestingly, Robert Place's, the author and creator of The Tarot of the Saints, perspective is Gnostic and I'm really enjoying that.  I love perusing the Nag Hammadi Library whenever time permits, am a great fan of Church History, etc., but define myself clearly as a progressive Christian humanist.  I'm also nuts about many areas of philosophy, esp. Plato and the British Empiricists.  I look forward to meeting all with whom I may cross paths here.  You'll find me to be safe, loyal, compassionate, a good listener and non judgemental.  My Sun Sign is Taurus with Cancer Rising and an Aries Moon.  My significator in the Tarot deck is the King of Pentacles and my Soul/Personality Card is The Hierophant V.  I'm very much at home with water and earth signs.  Gosh, I've written a tome already, but now you have a better idea of who I am and what I'm about.  To all my new friends, I look foward to our paths crossing soon.
