About Me
Hi all, this is Sassy_One. I am Methodist, but not neccesarily believing all their beliefs or stands on certain things. I am 56, a Widow for amost 12 years. I am on disability from numerous things. Asthma, Under active thyroid, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Probable MS, Allergies, Diabetes, have Gall Bladder problems which will be surgery in about a month as am fighting infection right now and they can't do surgery. I try and take one day at a time.
I go to Al-Anon at least 1x a week and sometimes more. My first husband(still drinking) was an abusive, very abusive alcoholic. I have one son who has many problems and thing part of them stemmed from father being alcoholic. My son has severe ADHD. He is 26 been married for 2 1/2 years and now they are getting divorced because he can't hold a job. He is fine at first, but once he knows it he gets bored and quits. I pray for him daily to find God again (he was raised in church) and get some personal help. He started a Bible Study last week and likes it, so hope he continues. He is moving to another town so don't know if he will be able to attend same one or not. He also is on cigerettes, smokes pot, drinks some not much, and is constantly on the move not from town to town but can't sit still. Has to be doing something or making a mess. Love him dearly, but have had to detach with love and to stop enableing. I have done that any time recently as he lives 200 miles away and neither one of us have vehicles.
I was born and raised on farm with an alcoholic abusive mother. When they got divorced I moved back to live with my dad. I love animals of all kinds except for big spiders, snakes, and rats & mice. When I married 2nd husband who was a prince and put me on a pedistal I had never been on he lived on farm so had dogs and cats and helped with calving, moving cows, had someone rent pasture for their horses and just plain loved it all. When he died in 1996 it was fast. 3 months and 1 day. I have not dated since. No desire to but would be nice to have someone to talk with. I ended up selling farm before my son graduated and then the trouble started when we moved to town. I bought a mobile home and loved it, but filed bankruptcy and decided I couldn't keep it up or mow or scoop snow so let it go back and moved in to low cost housing which I enjoy for the most part. I know the Lord talked to me one night and said you can move there and be angry and unhappy or you can go and enjoy and be happy. It is right across from my church and I really have learned to like it.
I go to Bible Studies and am involved in numerous committee's at church and need to slow down. I like Bible Studies and am looking for one to do by myself this summer. I guess that is all for now.
