My Name is Rita, I am 55 years of age, single and have been saved now for 19 years.  I am serious about salvation and do appreciate the love of the Lord who brought me out of darkness and into His marvelous LIGHT!!  I was addicted to drugs for over 15 yrs of my life.  I started smoking marijuana at the age of 16 and graduated on to popping pills, drinking, heroin and ended up on crack cocaine.  Lost my home, kids (2 daughters), my job after 10 years and I knew my life was over!!  I have been caught up in situations where I know people have been beat for and killed for, but the Lord let me live on.  Im so grateful for His mercy.  I got saved at the age of 36, got my G.E.D., went to school for business training, got a job with the Board of Education, I got my children back and raised my daughters ( in the church) who both graduated from High School and got jobs, one is married and I have 2 beautiful grandaughters.  The Lord turned my whole life around. I say this to the glory of God, I NEVER went to a rehab clinic, NEVER had ANY withdrawals, I cried to the Lord and He heard me and saved me out of ALL my troubles, PRAISE GOD!!  A lot of peope look at it as a drug problem, but the bottom line is, it was a sin problem.  Its good to know that Jesus is the answer I thought I could find in a bottle and a pipe or in  a man or in money!!  I'm still with the Board of Education, (looking, hopefully) to retire soon and find something less strenuous.  I love the word of God and looking to go higher in the Lord-Pray my strenght!
