Hi, Catherine! - July 2, 2008 - 02:49 PM
Just sent you a friendship request. Always good to get to know others from my ELCA roots--especially the more liberal, more inclusive of my acquaintance. Have you read Bruce Bawer's "Stealing Jesus"? Bawer is a gay Epsicopalian who is quite versed in his theology and does a great job showing how the Christian Right has distorted the Gospel. Also, if you like Borg and Crossan (I do, too!), you'll like John Shelby Spong, the retired Epsicopal bishop, if you haven't read his stuff yet.
