I had to write a short paper on Melanchthon in seminary and he is one of those characters of the Reformation era that most people simply ignore, so I was surprised to see that you had assumed him as a pseudonym. It is a good choice. Melancthon was an erudite uniting Christian, who sought peace and cooperation between the Reformed and the Evangelical (Lutheran) traditions. If only more people had identified with his spirit, years of bloodshed in Europe would have been avoided and religious conflict would not be as intense today.
