I GUESS THE BIGGEST REASON I CAME HERE IS TO FIND THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THEIR "OWN BELIEFS". HAVING YOUR OWN BELIEF ABOUT WORLDLY THINGS IS FINE. WHEN IT COME TO THE WORD OF GOD THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO BELIEVE, CHILDREN. I FIND PEOPLE IN MY OWN CHURCH THAT TRY TO USE THE BIBLE LIKE SOME KIND OF RESTAURANT BUFFET. THEY TAKE A LITTLE OF THIS AND A LITTLE OF THAT AND TRY TO LEAVE OUT THE BAD PARTS. SAD FACT IS THAT YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT ALL. THERE ARE A LOT OF FOLKS OUT HERE TODAY IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH THAT DONT BELIEVE THAT THE OLD TESTAMENT APPLIES TO US. WAKE UP PEOPLE! JESUS TELLS US THAT HE DIDN'T COME TO DESTROY THE OLD LAW, BUT TO FULFILL IT. AND GOD HAS ALWAYS PLAINLY STATED THAT HE IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD CHANGE. MY GOAL HERE IS TO GET TRUE BIBLE BELIEVING CHRISTIANS TO READ GOD'S HOLY WORD AND BELIEVE IT FOR EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS.

Brother Keith, my husband has been expressing interests in Islam now and came home from Iraq saying he believes in one God and that god is Allah. I have christian beliefs just like he has always had. He grew up a christian and has his own Holy Bible with his name on it that was given to him. How on earth do I reconcile with that? Im all for freedom of religion, but I have very strong negative beliefs against Islam. He isn't practicing like praying 5 times a day or anything. WHy do you think a soldier that has been in Iraq 3 times, comes back this time after almost 15 months and wants to believe in Allah. I just keep praying for him and I do tell him how I feel every day. He's slipped up and said he loved me a couple times when ending phone conversations but he won't say it right now face to face. He kissed me on my lips twice today, not like a sensual couple second one, but it was on the lips. It seems these are maybe small steps? We have never had any problems in our relationship before like possibly divorcing. Sep will make 10 years married and 11 together. He has agreed to go to a marriage retreat for soldiers in Sep. He has also agreed to counselling and going to church with me. Some days he just confuses me. I don't know. Thanks for listening to me. He's just had issues the last 2 months he was in Iraq and for the 2 weeks he's been back so far. It seems like it's better, but I am at a loss with this Islam thing.
