About Me
I am currently a high school teacher in Ottawa teaching Art, Communication Technology and Yearbook. This is a multicultural school but mostly Muslim (I'd say about 70%). It's perceived as a difficult school but in reality it is not. The majority of my students are respectful and there are very few cliques considering they come from many different countries. For some of my students I am the only Jewish person they have met, and we have had some wonderful conversation on the similarities between Judaism and Islam. I read The Faith Club for a book club and found hope between its covers. Their website led me to this group. I am constantly looking for positive dialogue and a glimmer of future peace. Right now two of my teacher friends are reading The Faith Club- one is Muslim and the other is Chrisitain. I am hoping we can start a faith Club here at the school.
