Thanks for asking. The ontological theory that most resonates with me is some fluid and inclusive species of holistic, panexperientialistic idealism. The utterances of the worlds mystics often cause me to say a secret cheer. In fact oftentimes I think there is some sense in which Love is the only thing that has any real being. Advaita Vedanta has my heart, and sometimes sort of makes my head feel effervescent. The primary and final authority for my worldview is experiential, but I am greatly encouraged by the fact that contemporary physics demonstrates that the nature of empirical reality cannot be accounted for by the traditions of either materialism or naïve realism--a fact I tend to argue during my weaker moments. Other than this, I think the most important truths are those that can only be articulated by paradox and poetry (thus nothing Ive said here is really very truthful). And most days I thank God for making me gay.
