About Me
Hi Everyone! I'm Janice Taylor, a blogger for Beliefnet, author of the Our Lady of Weight Loss books (All Is Forgiven, Move On and Our Lady of Weight Loss), the creator of the Kick in the Tush Club and a 50 pound big-time-loser.
I'm hoping y'all will join the club, so we can dish the dirt, swap recipes, sing songs, shake our booties ... and of course, kick tush! I mean, really ... who doesn't need a kick in the tush now and then? For weight loss, yes ... and whatever else comes up in life. (I need one right now. I've just got to clean up! Kick me, please!)
I am BIG on FUN and very much appreciate a good laugh. I like to keep my hands busy, so I make stuff ... arts and crafts. (See my tapemeasure bracelet in my Our Lady of Weight Loss blog.) I write too.
What else? I live in New York City, a walking city, Praise Be! So I get most of my exercise by walking here, there and everywhere. I am an early riser. Sometimes ridiculously early ... like 5:30 a.m. The city is the best early in the morning before it wakes up. It's a magical time.
And I really like just doing nothing. Sitting on a bench, in the park, feeling the sun on my face, and taking in deep breaths. Ahhhh ...
My new book - All Is Forgiven, Move On: Our Lady of Weight Loss's 101 Fat-Burning Steps on Your Journey to Sveltesville hits the shelves on May 15. It's an amazing book. Maybe I'll meet you when I'm on the road. That would be fantastic. I love meeting Kick in the Tush Club members (you're a special group, for sure).
Speaking of meeting up on the road ... The Our Lady of Weight Loss Cheerleaders are looking for new members. Anyone care to join the squad? As I travel around, promoting the book, I thought it would be fun to meet up with Kick in the Tush Club members and scream out some cheers together. Talent not necessary!
Here's a simple cheer to get you started. Get your PomPom's ready and start practicing.

Occupation: professional dieter
Faith Description: Pan-denominational. I live in New York City, so I truly believe I am a little bit of everything. Last week, I attended mass at The Roman Catholic Gospel Church; sometimes I attend the Baptist church across the way. Jesus lives outside my window (seriously, there's a mural painted on the side of a building that I can see from my window), and I know for sure that the spirit lives in the song. I've been to Jewish synagogues, Buddist temples. I am pan-denominational. A little bit of everything!
