I am happily married and have a wonderful 15-month old daughter.  I love to write and play music.  My degree is in Music Education, and I play the flute and piano.  When I was in 7th grade, I started playing organ for church.  I'm educated to be a Christian Day School teacher, but I'm a salesperson because it's so much fun.  It's a rush, I get to help people, and I don't have to worry about turning into an ogre in front of the classroom.

I discovered Beliefnet because of the Beyond Blue blog.  Therese has some great tips and ideas in there.  I joined the community because I need some help.  My post-traumatic stress syndrome was in "remission" for a long time, and it recently came back.  I need help staying sane until I am able to get professional help.  I was given tools to deal with the flashbacks and spiral thinking, but my mind has recently found ways around these tools.  That's why I need the extra support.

I hope that I can also help others on this site.  I know the pain of not being able to forgive yourself, and how God's forgiveness can help with that.  I've discovered tools to help me with positive thinking, and I hope to pass those on.  Most of all, I hope that the Holy Spirit will work through me to bring others to the faith.
