Laughing at the sheer audacity of my hypocrisy. And the fact that sometimes I actually believe I know half of what I think I do which is twice as much as I really do. Who I'm praying for:
The Righteous, those that may fall harder and further,
What is your current spiritual mood?:
Objective
What's your spiritual type?:
Undefinable - These labels (and most labels) don't work for me.
About Me
I am my Brother's Keeper. Prevenient Grace. Those two concepts are the alpha and omega of my Chrisitanity.
I am suspect of any Brother's view on Christianity which speaks in absolute omniscience regarding My relationship with God, and conversely, God's relationship with me; past present or future.
My belief, oddly enough, is far more logically based than faith based. Like Wesley before the Moravian sea cruise. Logic is the boat not the shore. Chrisitanity, the ordered world, and even God, and our creation in his image are logical. Judgement, Hell, endless torment, forsaken, forgotten, cast down, burning, anguish... these are not the message Jesus gave to me. He said something about Love, Forgiveness, Compassion, yes perhaps to a point of pain.. maybe.
Belief in conventional concept of Hell by my Brother's who believe in Jesus saddens me.
Of all these thoughts, I may be entirely wrong. In that I will also take solice. For I will not ever, never ever, never ever veveeevevveever worship a god with 'infinite love' that would ever , everveveveevever, forsake Any of my Brothers, his Children. Never.
On that note, bless you all, and peas!

How combat changed my faith - February 15, 2008 - 01:44 PM
You recently left a comment on my Profile site, that asked how would my faith be if I had not experienced combat in Vietnam. I can honestly say that my faith, without this life-changing experience, would probably be the same intellectual faith without the girders of trial. Combat has a way of "steeling" one's faith. Thank you for your words of kindness. Joseph14
