About Me
I've noticed people can be very open about their beliefs here. However, I tend to be a little quiet when it comes to my own personal beliefs, on the grounds that people of all faiths tend to find my beliefs "negative" or down right disrespectful. Still I want to be honest about who I'm and I'm tired of being labeled by so many different people with all their opinions. I hope my honest will not cost me my friends on here. However I wish to share.
I don't believe in a higher power, god, etc... I believe all those ideas are man made. I question everything I read and any idea that comes to me. I believe our ability to question is the true step of our evolution. Do I have beliefs? Yes! Let me try to break it down. What I'm writing down is not to mock any faith or an attack on any belief system. This is what I feel and believe and as I have shown respect to all faiths, I ask the same in return. I feel that humen beings tend to think a little too high of our race. I don't believe we are better than trees, animals or anything speices on our planet. We are all here on this world and well have to live here, for now at least. (I'm a Trekkie so I'll always have hope for man to travel in space.)
I don't believe there is a higher power and many question "how did we get here?" my answer is "I don't know." No one really knows. We have ideas and beliefs, but none have been proven. My personal beliefs stems from the beliefs in either spirits or ancestral worship. I believe that the gods of our ancestors weren't exactly gods but spirits or mass amounts of energy. This can guide you, play with you or even harm you if you are not careful. That is my personal faith base belief. I myself am exploring that in my life. But did the spirits create everything out here, I don't believe so. Nor do I give the credit to a god.
I'm not saying one shouldn't have faith. If believing in a god, goddess, higher power help you over come drugs, keep your family together or just makes the day better for you, then by no means stop believing. It makes you happy and I respect that. However I'm comfortable with the fact that we as humans just don't know. I rather have unanswered questions then just look for an answer in religion or even science and say "that's the absolute truth!" I'm aware I will most likely not live to get all the answers and I'm comfortable with that.
I do believe in magic. Though in my opinion I believe magic is simply science that has yet to be mastered. Ancient magician used a "magic powder" in their magic, that we now know to be gun powder. The town witch who could cure your illnesses with her magic herbs are now processed into our pharmacies today. When people say prayer heals, well that is true. But am I going to think its a higher power or should I see the potential of possible self healing in the mind? I have no desire to deny that. Since all faiths that have some kind of prayer/meditation in their belief system that has been know to work for self healing (could be depression, cancer, the common cold etc...) I have no desire to try and pick and choose which is right. Instead I've come to the understanding they each have their points both positive and negative. And I also feel the mind really should be explored both physically and spirituality.
Many have asked me, what I believe happens when we die. Well I'll be honest again, I have ideas, but agree no one really knows for sure. Yes people have been brought to life from the dead many many times. Some said they saw heaven, saw hell, lost family members, Santa Claus, a Wizard, etc... the one person I actually spoke to who came back from death said "It was like being born." I myself hold a personal spiritual belief, reincarnation. Now I myself believe in this, but that is from my own personal spiritual journy. Do I believe that a soul travels from one body to another, I'm not sure. I'm not sure a soul even exist. Their is an energy source in all living things, however if it has its own consciousness, that's up for debate. Reincarnation experiences could very well be cell memory. A theory that could be very possible. I don't pretend to know it all. I accept I don't. But here is what I believe in a nut shell. This may cost me some friends on my list, it may not. But this is my honest beliefs and feelings. Take with it, what you will. I have come to learn that many in belief net are very open minded and friendly. You share a website with many of different faiths and for the most part I've seen everyone give a fair amount of respect. I have high hopes! :)

On Friendship.
Kahlil Gibran.
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the "nay" in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "ay."
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.
And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.
For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not love but a net cast forth: and only the unprofitable is caught.
And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.
