About Me
Sometimes what I say is intended to provoke thought or creativity, sometimes I'm reacting, sometimes I'm following an idea wherever it will go, sometimes I am explaining my own opinion -- I guess I'm squirrelly in that way. I'm not always sure what I'll wind up saying, that's for sure.
My Basics
Gender: Male
Relationship Status: Rather Not Say
Faiths:
Rather not specify
Faith Description: Experimental, Experiential, Exploratory, non-believer. I believe in good fiction. Sometimes parts of scriptures qualify as good fiction. Unfortunately, certain other scriptures (in any religion) don't qualify as all that great (either story-wise or character-wise) and when people believe in them things get a bit screwy (for themselves or for others).
Supernatural/metaphysical ideas from karma to deities just aren't described clearly/coherently enough to warrant serious belief, I mean what is there to say you believe in, everything is either too vague or else it's square circles or fantasy (blissful or nightmarish)?

Oh, hello all. - July 29, 2008 - 11:54 PM
Been a bit busy, and I haven't been keeping up with the comments. Nice to see people still here from a while back. I tend to modify my positions over time as I explore, learn, challenge myself, but there are similarities in my temperament/tendencies. I'm still artistic and a bit mystical, I just don't feel a need to identify my feelings/impressions in religious terms, I don't 'believe' any particular system/interpretation. There's a mysterious potential I'm open to drawing upon, but I don't call it 'god' or 'divine', and at any rate it isn't like the 'god' often described in various religious systems. I find resonance within the Gnostic texts, in a lot of ways. I'm not a 'believer'
