It is really hard to limit books and authors to *favorites*, Alfred Lord Tennyson's "Idylls of the King" has long been a favorite, but has been joined by "Angela's Ashes" as a close second. Hemingway is still my favorite author, and "Shane" my favorite movie. Music is hard because I like so many writers and performers ranging from Pavaroti's "Nessun Dorma" to Roy Orbinson's "Crying". I listen to a lot of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and Neil Diamond.
Who Inspires Me:
My children and grandchildren inspire me to do and be the best I can be. Other people inspire me in ways to numerous to list here. All in all, human's are amazing creatures and I am so glad I am one.

About Me
I believe there is one God and He is the God of Love. I believe He showed us how we are to live and how we will be judged by Jesus's life. I believe that message to be showing love, mercy, and forgivness to each. I also believe that my beliefs are an expression of my personal experience with God. I believe that it is not really possible for humans to really know who or what God is - only each person's human personal experiences.
Above is the statement of faith from my original BNet profile when I joined in 2003, and it still is my belief. I joined to escape the feelings of isolation I was having at the time, and I was curious as to what BNet was and also about others life perspectives. When I joined, I made my way to the Christianity Debate Board (although then it was the Christianity: Chriticism and Critique Board - or something along those lines). I found a very warm and welcoming community, and have made some lasting friendships. I have had the good fortune to personally meet several of the posters I have met here, and communicate through email and phone calls with several others.
About a year after joining, I was asked to host the Abortion Debate Board, which I have done ever since. As a result, I do not get to the CD board as often as I would like, but do still drop in from time to time.
This community as a whole is an awesome community with a place for everyone and anyone to find friends, comfort, joy, or anything that they need and desire to feel whole. I feel truly blessed to have found it.
