Karen Lawrence is a freelance writer and administrative consultant based in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. She specializes in marketing and publicity assistance for independent musicians, writers and artists, and writes about nature, gardening, health and family topics. Her articles and photographs have appeared in regional and national magazines, and when she’s not writing she’s hiking or photographing flowers and wildlife. Karen believes Joseph Campbell's "follow your bliss" is the key to happiness and fulfillment in this life, and has adopted the Rumi quote "Let the beauty you love be what you do" as her personal motto.
