I'm just a 22 year old college graduate who's trying to find her way in this world.

I'm a nerd and not ashamed of it. I love anime, Science Fiction/Fantasy, etc. Even when I'm older, I think I'll probably still be a nerd. But I don't mind. :) God willing, I hope to still be playing video games at 80 years old.

I am interested in meeting people with different faiths and religions. I want to learn as much as I can.

Hi, I too suffer from depression. I was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. I was also mis-diagnosed for 8 yrs, and given anti-depressants that made everything worse. I finally begged for Depacote. Once taken I felt like a wilted flower, that was watered and just came back to life, in only 3 days. My doc, apolagized for his mistake. I had my 1st depressive episode when I was 20 yrs old, although I thought it was just fatiqued and tiredness. I also had a hard time in high school with getting up in the morning. I believe that was the true start of my un-diagnosed depression. By the time I was 25 I had a full blown episode of Mania and then terrible lows, the depths of hell. After 10 years of hell, I recieved ECT, it worked for me the very 1st time. Although it doesn't last, I had to have about 20 more of them. They do not hurt at all, it takes 10 minutes to do. When awaking you feel sooo much better. Effexor, has only worked for me for-about 2 yrs. In, the meantime, I'm going through a med change. They just put me on lamictal. We'll see. Listen, hang in there. It's normal to feel suicidal, and isolate when in major depression. Do not be hard on yourself either, or let anybody else either. Just ride it out. Your doc will get you out of this, I promiss. Please go to your doctor and take an anti-depressant. Try effexor, it worked well for me, in only 2 weeks I was back to myself, and felt like my self after 11 years. Unfortunutly meds do not last for me. Please take an anti-depressant, don't let anybody tell you they do not work, and only prayer does! God helps those who help themselves! THESE MEDS WORK, and if they do not, you have to be patient until you get the right mix, or cocktail so to speak. I was depressed in college also, and got 4.0. I guess because I isolated too. You can get worse if you don't get the help you need. You can spiral to the point of not being able to feed yourself or dial the phone. Go to the doctor. YOU WILL GET BETTER!!! I PROMISS YOU!!! It's ok to be suicidal when depressed, that's normal for depression, don't let it conquer you!!! Always say, "this is normal for depression", when a friend or parent say to you, "what's wrong". Be open about it, and tell them it's normal to feel this way for depression, and I will conquer this in my own time. Do not compare yourself to your health y friends right now. Remeber they would feel the same way if depressed. Also they probably would have dropped out of College by now. YOU HAVEN'T!!! Which means you will get through this...I PROMISS!!! LOVE YA, KIM RICCI
