I joined the (original) Hare Krishna Movement in 1973ish - the old days! :). Still following, simply at home.

Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. Any admirer of George Harrison is surely a friend of mine! I have been a die-hard Beatles fan from the beginning. I saw them at Suffolk Downs in Boston in '66 and saw George's "Dark Horse" tour in Boston. My close friends & I have seen Paul's show & Ringo's "All Starr" show a few times.....and we have traveled to Liverpool and visited all those memorable places. When I think of the distance traveled from the way society was in the late 50's when they started and all the changes they helped to usher in as the 60's and 70's came along! They were rather a cultural phenomenon. I feel I was lucky to have lived through that time period (well, I was only a young child at the beginning.....but I was a pre-teen when they hit the US shores and I grew up with them from there!) I think their message was always one of love & peace, which is in keeping with all faith.
