As I read the previous comments I can't help but wonder how you would respond if Jesus/God was presented as smiling? The artist and commenters see the world in such a negative way. I know there are bad things and bad people in the world but there are also very good things and very good people in the world as well. I choose to celebrate the good rather than focus on the bad.
The world is beautiful, so are the people in it.
In the Genesis account at the end of Creation the Creator declares his handiwork to be very good. I think it still is.

I love this picture! To me, Jesus is looking at the Earth in anguish because of the things he is seeing as He looks in on us. His tears are full of compassion, and He only wants us to be close to Him. It speaks volumes to my heart. Thank you for posting it on your page. God Bless all of you:)
It is a nice picture. It is too bad he looks angry as he is crying. Wouldn't it have been much more uplifting if he were smiling and happy that we love him. Perhaps if Jesus and God were portrayed as happy and compassionate instead of angry, more people would be drawn to them.

thank you this picture made me feel not so awlone in my saddness and that i wasn't alone when i had to put my poor cat 18 yrs.old down the cat was really my mother's i just took care of him for her and took him for her to be put down so sad jesus feels my pain was there w/ me and knows it was the only right thing hunane to do his liver was gone oh god i love and miss my best friend Willie, but i also know Willie is new know and will rise as spirit and will be thankful for he couldn't go on his on, he loved us all so much and our new addition my baby Manny
Jesus is crying and sad because He made the Earth in the begining. The peoples are evil and disobey God.The world get worses yes as i see on news or newspaper. Jeus watch all of us as sinners. pray for those peoples might come to know Jesus as accept Him. karen
