your very welcome... but just so that my view is clear- i do not agree pain is good in any way except as a signal to us that we are doing something that we need to stop doing. i understand that we human being are complex beings and that sometime our wiring goes awry- but that is a different matter. i hope your had a lovely pain-free birthday and that all your days are without suffering of any kind. >p

Thank you for your birthday wishes . i do however disagree with your view that " pain is/ can be good" I am Christian . When I read the Psalms prayers of ancient peoples I am see all of us in I their prayers They talk about their pain and it is offered to God . I do get medical attention when needed but there are times when science can't take away pain . Jesus suffered for all of us and I offer my sufferings to him . Marie

elis what you say the catholic church taught you about original sin and what i was taught by them are very different indeed. >p

I have learned thru the Roman Catholic Church that original sin was made null at Calvary by Christ's death on the cross. We grow in such blessing thru the sacraments, usually beginning with Baptism, then Confirmation. All other sin except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is granted forgiveness thru the sacrament of Penance. The Resurrection is icing on the cake.
