In this time of examining ourselves to see if we are in the faith, we who follow Jesus need to see if our lives are compatible with what God's word, the Bible, teaches. How does your life compare with the verses below? Are there some changes you need to make so that you are not doing things that God hates? Pastor G and I pray in these days leading up to our remembering Christ's sacrificial act of love so that we can be with God for eternity and rejoicing in Christ's resurrection, we all look at our lives and see what doesn't belong there. Ask God to help you change what you can't change on your own. He stands ready and oh, so willing to help you.
Proverbs 6:16-19
New International Version (NIV)
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
