We want to know all about the things that make you happy.  Sharing your stories, photos and videos just might put a smile on someone else's face.  So go ahead, pass on the happiness!

Would you like to share your happiness in a book? The folks at Red Wheel Weiser Books invite you to also share your happiness comments and stories at happy@redwheelweiser.com where they will be considered for the forthcoming book, "If You're Happy and You Know It, Pass It On,” to be published Spring 2011. For more information, visit Red Wheel Weiser Books.

The editor is Mina Parker, author of Half Full, Mother Is a Verb, 100 Good Wishes for Baby, Her Inspiration, Less Is More, Mother's Love Is..., and Silver Linings. She will be considering submissions from Beliefnet readers on anything that makes you happy, including simple pleasures and big triumphs:

The day you picked wild blueberries and ate them on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Your street's annual block party. Something someone did for you when you were down. The time your mother picked you up early from school to go play at the beach. Listening to Sunday opera with your Italian uncle. Playing music with friends. Your daughter's short story getting published in the local paper. An unexpected gift. Smiles from little kids. Birdsong. Walking the streets on a snow day and the whole world seems to sparkle like diamonds. Singing to the Beatles with no one around. A dream realized... and more.

Here are the rules: Write down WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY! Deadline is August 15, 2010. And by submitting your comments, quotes, thoughts and prayers you are agreeing to be in the book if selected. They also need your first name, age and city. Email today to happy@redwheelweiser.com and pass it along to friends.

Please Note:  You only need to include your name, age and city in your email submissions.  You do NOT need to post this information to the group.  By posting here, you are sharing your happiness with the rest of Beliefnet.  In order to be considered for the upcoming book, you will also need to email your submission to the address listed above.

I try to have joy in my heart at all times but real happiness comes for me when I am able to cook a big dinner. These dinners are for friends who love food and realy appreciate good food and like to sit around the table and laugh and eat, clean up together and spend hours just talking, debating and being friends.

Day to day ... waking up early and watching the day unfold ... whether thru my window in the comfort of my cozy bed ... or sitting outside in my big wooden rocker just close enough to the birdfeeder and bird bath.

In my emotional life ... my grandson ... the light of my life ... he puts his little arms around me and I AM VERY HAPPY AND CONTENT.

Around our home ... changing out my bedding and putting on freshly laundered sheets - then climbing in between them and just let myself enjoy them ... exquisite !!!
