Love your status line Pamhogeweide!
But would you agree that by the nature of his purpose in redeeming humankind to God that he was revolutionary in resisting the religious power structures of his day and from that we can take our cue to be vigilant against forms of traditionalism that are counter to the liberating power of the gospel?
The above is from your comment on our profile page earlier today. I have to respond that I don't agree that Jesus was revolutionary, and here's why. Revolutionary is a term that pertains to man and not God. Jesus is God, and as God He came to redeem us from the eternal penalty of our sins (eternal death)and remove the sin barrier between man and God so we who follow Him and live His way of life can be with God for eternity (eternal life).
What I can say is that we need to follow Jesus and live His way of life and not be swayed by man's or society's attempt to redefine what God clearly states in His word. For example, God created marriage to be between a man and a woman and regards same sex relationships as an abomination. God sees people who choose this sexual behavior and lifestyle as rebelling against Him and the way He created them as heterosexual. Where there's a conflict between God's ways and man's or society's, I choose God above all else. He and His word are the authority and guideline for how I live my life.
Hope this clarifies things for you.
Have a great night.
P.S. I don't have anything formally written regarding my experiences as a female spiritual leader.
Thanks for the friend request. I look forward to getting to know you better and sharing what God leads me to share.
You are mine too! I liked your post about being a Christ follower rather than a Christian!
