today is the fiest of st. john mary vianney. he had a lot of truble becoming a priest mostly because he could catch on to latin. but people kept coming to him because they sensed how holy this humble man was. he finally got ordained and was given ars as his parish because it was out of the way but also very lax. he brought the people back to keeping the lords day holy and stopped all the vulgar language in ars at that time. people flocked to him for guidance in confession and he could tell them their sins before they started to say them. he was like a magnite.  people had to travel far often to get to out of the way ars but they never stopped coming.  he would take off his own shous to give them to a person with no shous. well it was not long before satan began harrassing him.  he ate barely enuf except the housekkeper would bring him milk while he spent hours in consessional advicing people how to be more pleasing to god. god was not interested in a brillant report card he looked to his kind loving heart.  from openess
