Hi Oneness guy and others:
I did a search on Beliefnet for "Self realization fellowship" and your listing came up. I have enjoyed my connection with SRF/Parmahansa Yogananda over a number of years. I would like to see if there are online SRF resources you might recommend as I haven't had much luck so far locating these. I am particularly wondering if you are aware of any online SRF audio talks or videos? These might be from a brother at a service, at a convocation or by a devotee. I also am interested in finding any online SRF written material-- like the SRF magazine, etc. I went to the official SRF website and found one article from this magazine that was online, but it couldn't be printed.
If you don't know of any of these specific resources, might you know of somebody connected to SRF who might? If not, no worries!
blessings to you,
Craig in San Diego
Thanks for your comments in my guest book Onenessguy8,
I also am new here. Apparently my notifications are not turned on. I'll have to check on that.
I appreciate your thoughts although I can not completely agree.
As I say in the piece, I believe that Oneness in the Sankara sense (which is different than in Caitanya's teachings of Inconceivable Oneness and Diversity) is as limited a view as Srila Madhva's Dualism. The wisdom of Caitanya is that he transcends both dualities (both Oneness and Dualism) and reveals the utterly inconceivable nature of both God and Existence.
In the Christian context, I sense that Master Y'shua (Jesus) understood and agreed with achintya bheda bheda understanding but, as he said, "I have many things to teach you but you are not ready for them." His teachings were therefore purely dualistic. He was a traditional Karaite Jew. He rejected the authority of the Oral Torah and encouraged his followers to embrace the Written Torah (and Tanach) from the heart rather than according to "the letter of the Law."
Prior to Rome's (Constantine's) usurpation of Master Y'shua's movement his followers embraced a rich philosophical blanket that included Karaite (and Arian) Judaism to Gnostic Mysticism to Roman Panantheism, and all points in between. This wonderful diversity (which was not unlike India's Sanatana Dharma) was squashed by the Roman "Universal" Church and it homogenization of Roman religion. I discuss this in some depth at my Noahide Nazarene section: http://www.allfaith.com/Religions/Noahide
God is More.
Reality is More.
Truth is More.
If you would like to send me a copy of your book I'll be happy to write a review of it, however I can't see buying it for this purpose. My mailing address is:
