About Me:
I've been a member of Beliefnet since 2000. I love coming here. It gives me a chance to vent about things. And I have learned so much from everyone here. Everyone is my teacher.
I'm a widow, an empty nester and a still grieving mother. I lost my husband of 20 years and my 15 year old son back in 2004 in a most unexpected and heartbreaking manner (which I won't go into right now).
My daughter is a graduate of the Univ. Of Hawaii@ Manoa
I am NCSU's oldest freshman (well, one of the oldest). I've returned to college after a 24 year absence, and I am loving it!!! My daughter - who proudly calls me a nerdy geek, a title I am honored to have - is my biggest supporter and boy does she stay on me. What can I say she was on the Dean's List, I have to take her gentle scoldings! "Mom, have you done your homework? Mom, keep your mind off them boys and on your books!" Boy, payback is hell!
I love to travel, dance, walk/lift weights and I'm a diehard Trekkie. I want to learn 4 different languages
I may be alone, but I'm not lonely. I have my daughter and other family and my friends. And I have love in my life. I am humbled by it, and am grateful.
I look foward to waking up every morning. There's so much to see and so much to do. Though my daughter and I have suffered a tremendous loss, life is good.
My belief statement is: IDIC: Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. As is the Creator, we are eternal multi-dimensional spiritual beings. We are all of the Creator (an energy of Pure Unconditional Love) just vibrating at a different frequency as we experience this dimension (and all the other dimensions and all the other time/space continuums simultaneously). Once everyone and everything finishes here in this Earth Life System it's off to create new realities out in the great unknown, oh the fun......
I'm new to Beliefnet and just looking all around to see what's what. I joined the atheist group because I was curious about atheists on BELIEF-net. . . Your profile moved me to write. I noticed the last comment was from January, so I hope you're still around.
Your love of your family is so admirable and I need more friends like you. I pray all good things for you and your family, keep up that faith that fuels the love. I don't go online too regularly, but feel free to respond anytime.
