Tried again last night!

    Saturday, January 12, 2008, 9:20 PM [General]

Tried to post last night but was so tired that I erased everything that I had put down and then decided that I could not write it again.  So, here we go,  my pain scale is off the chart this evening as the weather is changing and I'm not feeling with my fingers quite as well as I should.  Went shopping the other day and during that time, because I live in a small town, I always see someone that I know and always try to talk to at least one or two others that I don't.  Well, this day, I was trying to talk to someone and was heartily and without shame put in my place by this person.  I cannot understand the need for people to place others beneath them, the whole concept is foreign to me.  To me everyone is equal and there are none who deserve my reproach and none who do not merit my respect.  Should you be faced with a situation, where a homeless person, hungry person or any person in need, seeks your help please remember that they too are worthy of your love and respect.  In Amerika, we have forgotten the need for being our brother's keeper and more than that we have neglected the need for helping lift out of despair those who are in the well and cannot get out.  I am ashamed that I'm American sometimes, what with "the decider and Darth Vader," as the leaders of our nation.  These men and all those like them, neo-cons to the core, have tarnished the reputation and sullied the name of America for so long, it will be a generation or more before the rest of the world forgives our blunders and foibles.  More's the pity, that we the last of the baby boomer generation, might not see America returned to the glory it once had in the world.  In this next election demand accountability from those you elect to the House and Senate, demand that the Congress do its job and not allow the Executive branch of the government to walk all over the Constitution.  Remember that, we the American people are the ones who do the electing and not the other way around.  Remember that the intelligence services, are there for the protection of Americans,  that they are supposed to look for and protect us and not to spy on us.  May we all be well and have lives of love and peace.  Let all remember that we are supposed to live no wealthier than  the poorest and no richer than the wealthiest among us.

    HR 1955 and other rants

    Wednesday, January 9, 2008, 5:37 PM [General]

Hey there, just wanted to let everyone know how I am doing today.  Many things are happening in the political arena and they are of importance to all because of the way this bill is worded.  I would hope that everyone would take the time and spend the energy to work for the common good, but if this new bill passes the Senate, if you try to change something you do not like through peaceful and non-violent means, such as running a soup kitchen and campaigning for the removal of a certain person from your city council, you will by definition of this bill, be considered a homegrown terrorist and subject to the military tribunal system for, " encouraging social change through force."

This bill has already passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 404-6.  We need to wake up and see the accident waiting to occur. For without doubt, there will no longer be freedom of speech, expresssion or religion, should this bill go before GW Bush.

Otherwise I am doing ok, am feeling a little bit overwhelmed by the handicap  and the lack of movement that I am experiencing these days.  FYI, I have recently been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and if anyone out there knows of anything that I can do to stave off the progression of this debilitating and deadly disease, I would greatly appreciate a line dropped into my email box.

Peace and Power through love and tolerance

    New Way Thinking

    Tuesday, January 8, 2008, 5:52 PM [General]

In the future, I will be looking for brand new ways of thinking and being.  It is to me, the life of a journeyer that will be the most rewarding and enjoyable.

With the advent of the internet and other means of communication, I hope to learn much more of the world's faiths and how the practices of those who think differently then myself work for them.
