Yes, it's a bouncy, catchy melody, but the words say so much about everything from "writer's block" to the blocks we put on ourselves for self-improvement. And I so agree with you that we MUST remember the brutality of American history in addressing how to go forward as one people -- diverse yet with a common purpose. We can't have that without atonement for our treatment of African-Americans in particular (which may or may not be restitution, but certainly must be society-wide in its totality). This is one of the main reasons I am active for one particular presidential candidate this year ... Happy holidays, Doxie/Larry
