    Morals are like a weathervane. They show what direction a nation, a church, or an individual is headed. They are leading indicators. So it says in verse 30, "An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely.

    Many, like Joel Olsteen, point out the “Good” things and lull people to sleep by failing to point out the need for repentance and why we need the deliverance of a Savior.

    Even if a minister is not doing his job, pointing out the sins of the people for whom he is responsible to God, we still individually have the responsibility to obey God, regardless!

    Ac 16:16 ¶  And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by fortune telling: 17  The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show you how to be saved.


    18  And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And spirit came out the same hour.

    19  And when the owners of the slave girl saw that the hope of their making money was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them in to the marketplace unto the rulers,

    Jer 5:(30) A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; (31) The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
