Hey, I'm doing ok. The Universe just threw a curve ball, and so I am wondering, hmmmm.....I know it is a test of faith, and that when we are pushed into an uncomfortable position, that to me is the Divine telling me to take some kind of forward action to improve. I have some ideas, but they are rough ones at the moment. I do have a few quick fixes that will temporarily help, but I am at the crossroads that I blogged about, and like Gandalf, I'll have to sit here a while and get a feel for each direction until I get the inspiration to know where to go. Namaste, Rickie. P.S. what is San Diego like?

What would be the reason NOT to affirm what is, is more the question.

I think I misunderstood what you meant by via negativa. As I understand it now, it is a theology that attempts to describe God , by negation, to speak only in terms of what may not be said about the perfect goodness that is God. This makes more sense to me. We can determine what we are by via negativa. We realize we are not our thoughts, and feelings, we are not our body etc. By subtracting all that we are not, we can determine that we are the awareness through which all thing happens.

You said "One can enter a house through the front door or one can enter a house through the back door; either way, one has entered the house." I agree I would think that you could spend a whole lifetime, rejecting the truth of others without finding your own truth. Who are we to say that others are wrong in their search for the truth? They may find the house their way I am not as wise as LAO TZU, so maybe I don't understand what he is saying. LAO TZU, like Buddha would tell me to accept only what feels right. I cannot accept the road of denial, it just doesn't feel right. I choose the road of acceptance, it will be hard enough. As I say at the top of my page "The truth is Within You.
