About Me:
Once upon a time, a man died who had been much loved. Shortly afterwards though, his mourners were given the shock of their lives-- a brief glimpse through a hole ripped in the established order of things. So goes the story they later told to anyone who would listen... Faith, to me, means living in the hope that this story is true... Everything else-- the traditions, the writings, the doctrines, all flow from this. Without this, the Golden Rule would be little more than fine words on a wall plaque, and exhortations to "forgive seventy times seven" and to "sell your possessions and give the money to the poor" would be commandments for pathetic self-abnegation. But only let these sentiments rest on that faith, ...and by living in that hope each of us can write our own chapter in that great unfinished story.
