I just read your profile, and I am praising God for what He has done in your child's life! That is amazing. I cannot relate to what you are going through from experience, but if you ever need prayer or just want to talk/vent, feel free to email me at LMBOOKEROSSIE@YAHOO.COM. I also send out inspirational devotions, if you're interested. Hoping to hear from you soon! Be blessed! Lashonda Lmbookerossie |

I ask for St. Padre Pio's intercession on your families behalf. Oh lord, look at the Love in this mother's heart. Grant I pray, your holy face shine on her and her family. Thank You Lord Jesus! bill001 |

I also have boys with special needs. Not as severe as your son's and we definitely had choice over the matter (adoption was involved). Like 'Teach, I work with and know many families that include disabled children including some kids with some pretty profound physical and mental delays. It's a tough road, but rewarding like all parenting experiences (which I'm sure you know). Anyway, hope to talk with you later! :) -Jon JonAtFaithUCC |

I have been working in the field of developmental disabilities for 16 years as a nurse practitioner. If you ever have questions, feel free to contact me. Your role as parent can be hard and frustrating, and sometimes it is hard to find someone who really understands. Good luck, and consider contacting your local UCED (University Center for Excellence in Disabilities). They are often looking for parents who can be contacts for other parents, or advocates for health care reform. You may find part of what you are looking for by being the change. :) REteach |
