Religiously, I am a maltheist. that is, I believe that God (that is to say, the entity that many people worship as the supreme being) exists, but is in truth an evil troublemaker at cross purposes with the best interests of humanity; an egotistical, self-centered, oppressive, hypocritical, heartless, sadistic deceiver in whom trust is perilously placed; a crusher of everything good in man.
Maltheism is not a religion, it is simply a belief. It does not show you the way, it simply tells you what is not. When all is said and done, I may work out the true path, but right now, my advice amounts to this: be trustworthy, but never trust. Watch out for yourself, guard what you value jealously, never depend on others for your welfare. Be #1 in your own book, because you do not even appear in anyone else's, least of all God's.
