I was woke up by my father yesterday morning, at 7:00 AM. Got dressed, and waited for my mother to get home so we could all vote. This is actually  the first time i really felt my vote meant something. I was apart of history, I helped the first Black man become president. I have a lot of hope for this country. I really do. I always heard that people have to hit rock bottom before they are able to get back up. In this case I believe the same for the United States. I do not belive the United States has hit rock bottom. I do belive we have a ways to go. I do belive though  that we did need a different type of president that would try to help change the country, cause the same old views were no longer working. Granted I know that the House is actually in charge of what gets past, but the president can at least put up the bills that will be voted on. Also if we are in an emergency the president can decide what to do, or what needs changing, and change it. I have hope for this country. Things will not happen fast, everything takes time. It will be a very slow process to change certain things. All we can do is hope and pray, that the Lord  guides the ones that do govern us in the direction we would like them to go, as long as it is Gods will. I also pray for Obama's safty. I am scared for him. I am so afraid some skin head or some militias that is associate with racist ignorant people will make an attempt on his life. So I pray, and I ask all of you to pray with me...

Dear Lord please protect Obama, may no harm come to him, and help him lord, give him strength when he needs it, give him the wisdom to know, and the compassion to love. Guide him Lord to be the best that he can be, and above all please keep him and his family safe, Your will be done. Amen.
