Hi, this is me, Shelly, I was born in Waukegan, Illinois in 1963. All of my family on my Dad's side still lives there. My Dad and his wife, aunts and uncles. Through my Mom and Dads divorce in the late 60s. My mom remarried and my family moved to Evergreen, Colorado. When I was 18 we moved to Fort Scott, Kansas. After a bad relationship with my sons father, I moved to Florida with my mom in 1992. I met my husband Tim at church. We were also neighbors, which made it convient to get to know each other, but we didn't know we were neighbors until he took me home one night. We got married October 31, 1993. In 1994 my husband and I moved to Bourbonnais, IL to go to Olivet Nazarene University.  My husband graduated, but I did not. I worked full time as a C.N.A. forever! That is in the medical field. I have done that since high school, 1982.

We came to  live in Okeechobee, when my husband and I both got jobs down here. I worked at the hospital and he worked at a youth camp. Now he works full time at the prison. 

I stopped doing CNA work in 2007, now I stay at home.  I am very hard of hearing. Really hard! LOL! I don't have hearing aides right now. So my husband and I do allot of writting! Right now I am trying to find a job to do at home, where I don't have to pay to get into it. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know.

    Otherwise I stay home. I love to paint, my medium is Oil. I have been painting self taught, since 1986. It keeps me busy. I love to read and do word search puzzels. Love the computer, wish I had on at home!

    I go to the only Church of the Nazarene in our city. We have a new Pastor since November of 07. SHE is the first woman Pastor of our church, and for me! It's quit amazing! She is good!

    I live a simple and quiet life. God is good, no matter what life brings us we all need to be thankful for what we do have. God shows me new things everyday through prayer and reading the Bible. My life is quiet, I am a quiet person. Love to be around good natured, funny people who like to laugh! I think God is an awesome God! He love us all no matter what our life has been like!

   Our pets consist of two female cats. One is 10 years old, and the other is only 5 months old. She is black stripped and grey, her name is Mia. The other is an orange tabby, Peaches.
