Merope, I heard some juicy opera news today. They will be radio broadcasting a new production of MacBeth next Saturday , and it will also be broadast on HD into various movie theaters around the country. I wonder if that will be good? And speaking of gorgeous music, check out this concert on YouTube ; not opera, but Bach's Magnificat ain't bad, either. (Links to all the movements are in the "About this video" section at right.)

She is quite lovely, isn't she? Puccini is growing on me (I never thought I'd see the day :-) You will appreciate that I got jazzed over the New Year watching a televised concert performance of Mozart arias from Salzburg :-) Hence the new avatar. I would give much to see the Hampson/Papé/Van Dam "Don Giovanni" of which we saw only clips on the telecast.
