About Me:
Oh where are the young postmodern intellectuals who value some sort of transcendence, tradition, and trajectory into the future (who so happen to be content within the Christian tradition) supposed to go in this world of growing solipsist consumerist nihilism on the one hand and disenchanted religious fundamentalists on the other? Why beliefnet of course, its the one place where everyone can converse without wanting to take to the streets (not that that's not needed from time to time). But of course when people content within this Western Christian paradigm (one of many and equal world views), on the off chance of actually needing to meet face to face, have another place in my experience; progressive and mainline Communions, with at this moment in time the Episcopal Church leading the way. It's where one can begin to see the sacred as a 'why-to' not exclusively 'how-to' manual.

tensions of paradox, ambiguity, and diversity. -- Richard C. Milhon The
