My name is Shirley, my grandchildren call me Mawga...... I'm a Gold-Star Grandma and a proud grandmother of a Fallen Hero. I live in West Tennessee out in the country. I have 10 grandchildren including my angel Michael and 3 great .

I joined this community in hopes of meeting other parents, wives, husband and grandparents who have lost a loved one fighting for our freedom. The Gold-Star moms have helped me get through this and I would like to help others in the same way. God has always been with me, through the hardest time of my life and if not for my faith I would be lost. Our grandson was taken from us on May 29,2004. He is still with us in spirit and I feel his love around me always. If there's anyone out there who is suffering because of a loss please turn to God and He will take you through this.
