Love is in the air, reaching out by invitation, all are welcome to appreciate the beauty of springtime at Easter. Although its flowering fragrances simmer in the air we breathe, the sweet aroma it invites refreshes our soul, and cheerful faces recognize it to. Everywhere as far as the eye can see, love springs forth like a new song waiting to give birth to the lost, and proclaim to all who dare gape at its beauty a love so dear-- ( Hab 2: 14; Isaiah 6: 2). Wherewith, we hold our tongue in awe and grope at its beautiful profession yarning to know how. Thus even the birds of the air are chirping happily sounding the alarm to men, love is here ( Acts 17: 24 thru 28).
Is it love?
At each passing season in spring, something continues to renew itself on earth. Something greater than men awaits to reconcile a love which only reaches out to all mankind. Even in our darkest hours a sweet aroma seeks life to save from desolate hours in our lives as a single flower in the thorns which stand alone in the thickets. Thus Jesus reminds us, he is " The Rose of Sharon" (Songs of Solomon 2: 1--please read this chapter). In other words, what makes the grass grow, the flowers bloom? Whatever it is, something greater than nature is flourishing in the land ( Hab 2: 14). Inasmuch, what is life without-- Jesus, it'd be like being in a barren land with a cruel taskmaster without the Lord's saving grace-- ( Gen 47: 18, 19). Thus, it is a horror without the Lord as our helper ( Philippians 3: 18, 19). Yet, here, in the springtime of Easter, is a rose in a desolate place. Can you feel Jesus love all around you? Are you alone looking for love in a desolate place? In the beauty of spring, wherewith, is the love of Jesus,, who died on a curse tree for all, even in our darkest hours his love still reaches out in forgiveness. For the Lord will be merciful to their iniquities. And he will remember our sins no more ( Hebrews 8: 12).
Therefore, in man's perception of love it is not pure but God's is.
A particular chapter: Songs of Solomon invites our appetite to a taste of love. It reads:
9 I would still choose my dove, my perfect one—
the favorite of her mother, dearly loved by the one who bore her.
The young women see her and praise her;
even queens and royal concubines sing her praises:
10 “Who is this, arising like the dawn,
as fair as the moon, as bright as the sun,
as majestic as an army with billowing banners?”
11 I went down to the grove of walnut trees
and out to the valley to see the new spring growth,
to see whether the grapevines had budded
or the pomegranates were in bloom.
12 Before I realized it, I found myself in the royal chariot with my beloved ( Songs of Songs 6: 9-12).
Springtime Love is forever
How sweet is Solomon's story, his perception of love in springtime. Thus, we all need love, it's a beautiful life in marriage or any relationship between a man and woman in love. Yet sadly to say, it's not a springtime love which lives forever. It can't send your soul to Heaven or Hell. It is a temporary fix for a temporary world. Do you believe that Jesus is in the spring of Easter? Absolutely, I wholly believe that Jesus is in the beauty of springtime during Easter because he lives. You see, love is here falling from the Lord's brow -- the aroma of Jesus is his sweet love for all mankind, is his crucifixion on the cross, so that we may be reconciled in our helplessness back to God-- our creator ( Romans 5: 6-18 ). Jesus came as a humble servant to serve man but not to be served by man, even though, he came as the sovereign God reincarnated in the flesh of Jesus on earth -- ( Mark 10: 45).
Here's to life
Jesus son of the living God came to earth to reconcile us back to the Lord. He did great and mighty deeds before his death on that tragic cross: He healed the sick and every kind of disease, he raised the dead, he made the blind see, and he opened the ears of the death, a paralytic, including casting out spirits and demons from the mute, he set the captives free, fed thousands with a three loads of bread and a few fish, even called us friend. Seeing so many people, Jesus has compassion because they were dispirited like sheep without a shepherd ( read Matthew chapters 8; 9). There are many more miracles Jesus did before his death, etc. However, the greatest gift, is the birth of Jesus born of a virgin to save us from our sins ( read the book of Luke 2 ). Although he was born of flesh, he was unlike us. Do you know why? Because Jesus did not sin, for he is incapable of sinning. Although he was tempted, he lived a sinless life ( 2 Peter 2: 22). Moreover, if he'd sin, then his death on the cross would've been just a murder, for the wages of sin is death ( Romans 6: 23).
Spring forth and your sins will be forgiven
Imagine a friendless life and you're the talk of the town because of a bad reputation; furthermore, no one wants to befriend you as a friend. Mary was this person. Thus, at the same time, a sweet aroma sweeps through the air is reaching out for her. At that time, Jesus is at the Egyptians' house nearby, when Mary finds him sitting at the table, and sits behind him at his feet holding on to her alabaster's box. Hence, a box with a very expensive vial of perfume inside, that Mary could easily sell for a very good price. Thus, while she sits behind Jesus at his feet, his beauty shines like the sun, wherewith, his aroma is the fragrance of a springtime flower, he is "The Rose of Sharon." She begins to cry as the tears of remorse flows from her eyes as she washes the Lord's feet and anointing them with her perfume, and with her many tears hoping the Lord would over look her past, then dries his feet with her hair and constantly kisses them. Thus, she remembers her past as a sinful woman, who concealed many sins, but needs a way of escape. Not to mention, a mean Pharisee is accusing her before the Lord. Yet the Lord knew her heart-- that she desired to know him. Because Mary reached out for the Lord, and he only comes as a saving grace to where he's welcome, and he saves ( Luke 7: 36-50; John 3: 16 ) You see, Jesus knew us before we were born, and the Lord knows our weakness and frame of state ( Jeremiah 1: 5; Isaiah 26: 3). -- Remember, the cross represents Jesus' crucifixion to reconcile us back to God by his death. The atoning blood that poured from his tormented body on the cross is for all of our: sins, sickness, pain, torment, burdens, distress, and weight, etc., is for salvation. This sinful woman wanted forgiveness, and Jesus forgave her without fault. Now her sins are forgiven and has melted away. Mary reached out at the Lord's feet for that single rose-- and Jesus shined in her desolate heart as light. --No longer did she feel desolate or ashamed, but is now reconciled back to God. Hallelujah! ( please read Romans 5 ).
Finally:
When Jesus died on the cross it was his sacrifice for the lost. God made it possible for us to come from death to life when Jesus rose from the dead and is now sitting at the right hand of the father--God (Colossians 3: 1 ). This springtime on Easter Jesus is waiting for anyone to reach out for that springtime " Rose of Sharon." For the Lord is no longer in the grave but-- has risen, just as he said he would (( Romans 6: 8-11; Matthew 28: 5, 6). This Easter reach out for the Lord Jesus and watch him spring forth in your lives.
If you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior say this prayer so your mouth confess it and your ears can hear it and your heart will receive it: Lord Jesus I'm a sinner I want to know you now. Please forgive me of my sins. I'm sorry I rejected your love in the past. Lord, I open my heart to know you now. Please come in and save my wretched soul that I may live not in vain in a perishing world and lift my eyes up in Hell; but instead, I want to live with you-- Jesus in Heaven for all of eternity in your name, amen. Praise the Lord! Now that you've said this sincere prayer please find a God- fearing Bible believing Church, which will teach and show you how to live as a new creation in Christ Jesus.
